Credibility

Having a website for your business adds credibility. If you hear of a business you may want to use their services or purchase from. A website is the first place a consumer will look, to find out more about your company and if you are a trustworthy reputable brand. Adding an about us section can help, as it puts a name and a story to a business, this little detail will instantly add more credibility to your brand. Having a website says a lot about your business, that you are strong enough and profitable enough to put money and effort into marketing. Your business cares about its customers and wants them to be informed. You want to be as transparent as possible.

E-Commerce

If you have a business that sells goods or services, then you’re missing out on a big opportunity by not having a website. From 2015 to today over 80% of internet users bought online! This is a big piece of the sales pie that your business isn’t getting even a crumb of. There are many platforms that you can use for online sales some of the biggest ones include big commerce and Shopify. Online sales are fast growing since it offers people the ability to shop around and find the best prices. With e-commerce you have the option to apply discounts to your products, you can give customers discounts for signing up for your newsletter, which allows you to continue to send out promo material and achieve more sales.

Online Presence

Having a website does wonders for your web presence, with a website you can share this via social media, take people to your online shop, and upload news & blogs. This is great for SEO, but not so good for your competitors. If EE is promoting its website and showing you lots of new deals and a new business selling the same things at a better price don’t even have a website. We can give you two guesses who is going to be selling more mobile phones.

Inform and Showcase your Unique Selling Point

If you’re a seller of Fine art or pet food catering for dogs with special dietary needs, tell people! If you don’t tell customers ” this is why you should buy our pet food” then they won’t? Think about what’s in it for your customers, get into their shoes, would you buy this? Would you buy from a company you’ve never heard of who don’t have a website to inform you about what you are looking to buy?  Your Unique Selling Point is what makes your business successful and having a website to showcase this will increase your customers, to help you stand out from your competitors.

Customer service

Having a website can help you improve your customer service if you want to sell your products overseas it’s unlikely that you’re going to be in the office 24 hours a day. Therefore having some sort of enquiry form or even an email address available on a website will enable you to keep the enquiries coming in when you aren’t in the office. You can also include live chat as a way to instantly answer customer enquiries as people are looking around your website. How about reviews and testimonials? If you have done a good job or have a great product that your customers love, let people know! Share it everywhere including your website and social media channels. Let’s not forget FAQ or Frequently Asked Questions, this will enable you to spend less time answering the same simple questions over and over, just direct people to your FAQ page and update this as you need to.
